Ordinary products or even inferior products competing at low prices are gradually unable to meet the market demand. As a result, the system doors and windows, which are famous for their high quality, are ushering in spring, foreign system brands are pouring into China one after another, and domestic brands are springing up like mushrooms.

The rapid development of system doors and windows is a matter of recent years, so for real estate developers, it is still a relatively new product. How to choose and what problems should be paid attention to in the choice are as follows:

First of all, you should know what services you can get when you choose the door and window system. Door and window system is a collection of technologies developed to form high-quality and high-performance door and window products, including product design, production, installation, post-maintenance, etc. System doors and windows are doors and windows made according to the technology provided by the door and window system. When we choose the door and window system, we choose not only the door and window products made by this technology, but also the supervision, management and maintenance of the early design, production and installation.

The first step is to match the positioning of the project

At present, system doors and windows are mainly used in projects with high quality requirements. When selecting products for such projects, first consider the project positioning, decide whether to choose a first-line brand or a second-line brand according to the project positioning, and consider the products selected by other real estate projects of the same grade and projects with similar geographical locations. At the same time, the selected brands and products should meet the requirements of energy saving, environmental protection, health and comfort, and should meet or even exceed the expected positioning of customers.

The second step is to meet the requirements of the project.

Compliance with the project requirements is mainly considered in four aspects: first, whether the comprehensive strength of the brand meets the technical requirements and supply cycle of the project; second, whether there is enough experience to cooperate with the work of the project, such as project cases; third, whether all kinds of problems in the project can be solved, such as over-specification fan, hidden frame and other requirements; finally, whether the product meets the performance requirements. The specifications and acceptance requirements of different regions are different according to the particularity of geographical location and climatic conditions. When selecting products, the performance parameters of products should be fully considered.

The third step is to match the project target cost

Whether the project target cost match the price of the selected product. The price of system door and window products is affected by multiple factors, the production of aluminum alloy profiles is protected by import and export laws, and the imported system brands are also commissioned in China. However, the special requirements of materials and whether hardware and accessories are imported or produced by local commissioned manufacturers have a great impact on their prices. When making choices, brand analysis and comparison can be carried out according to their own concerns. The price of domestic system brands is lower, about 25% ~ 35% higher than that of traditional doors and windows, and the price of imported brands is about 60% higher than that of traditional doors and windows, which varies according to the selected products.

The fourth step is whether the system brand within the scope of the project has excellent door and window cooperation units.

The production and installation of doors and windows play a vital role in the realization of the whole window performance, and excellent doors and windows are the guarantee of the whole window performance of enterprises. Whether the system brand has an authorized manufacturer in the area where the project is located and how the comprehensive ability of the manufacturer is are important assessment items when selecting the system. Real estate developers can also evaluate their cooperative door and window units through the authorization and entrustment mechanism of the system brand.

Each system has its own characteristics and value, which should be matched with the facade effect and performance of the building in practical application, so as to transform the characteristics of the product into the highlights of the project and add points to the building. From the perspective of material application, the standard requirements of some imported brand materials are higher than those of domestic standards. For example, the alloy grades of profiles are different, and the strength is higher than that of 6063-T5 and 6063-T6 commonly used in China. Some systems have special requirements for the surface treatment of profiles, such as fluorocarbon spraying, anodizing + SG coating, and various practices show different textures; Sealing tape materials are also different, from the perspective of weather resistance and sealing, there are EPDM and PVC soft and hard co-extrusion tape, PPVC thermoplastic elastic tape, which can also add points for later sales.

From the perspective of product design, it includes product manufacturability, product performance and product appearance. The manufacturability is considered from the perspective of manufacturing and construction technology. The performance is mainly reflected in the product design, such as the design of hardware notch, the design of profile drip line, the design of heat insulation strip, etc., which are listed as follows: (the section below is only for illustration)

Each system of product appearance has its own characteristics, including profiles with large visible surface, stable and thick, profiles with thin and hidden fan, profiles with complex surface lines matching the facade effect, and profiles with hidden drainage holes and minimalist appearance. The items are selected according to their respective needs.

There are many manufacturing processes of system doors and windows that are different from those of traditional doors and windows in the manufacturing process of doors and windows. At present, the common practice of the door and window factory authorized by the system brand is to separate the manufacturing of system windows and doors from that of traditional windows and doors. Machines with higher precision and more skilled workers are used for production. The system brand will be authorized by the door and window unit. When selecting the system brand, the strength of the door and window unit should also be considered comprehensively, and the special requirements in the manufacturing process should be understood, and sampling inspection can be carried out.

For example, several manufacturing processes of system doors and windows are different from traditional doors and windows, as follows:

▼ 45° group angle process:

Traditional doors and windows generally use single-component corner assembly, which requires time and appropriate moisture to complete curing, and can not guarantee the effective connection of corner assembly glue with the surrounding profiles. In the "traditional door and window corner assembly damage test photos", there is no corner assembly glue in the right profile cavity, and the section sealant is also missing. The doors and windows of the system are commonly used for two-component corner assembly. The two-component glue is injected through the glue injection hole, and the glue overflows from the corner extrusion point to ensure that the corner assembly cavity is filled with glue.

The door and window system has matching accessories, such as corner brace, flat steel sheet, glue corner, glass cushion block, seal, etc. The special auxiliary parts are designed according to the section of the profile and have a high matching degree with the profile. It is recommended to purchase the auxiliary parts designed by the system when the auxiliary parts of the system brand are opened, which can guarantee the performance of the whole window. For example, at the connection position of the mullion, the special sealing gasket provided by the system door and window in the left figure can terminate the finished components, pins, etc., to ensure the strength and tightness of the connection position of the mullion. But at the same time, the production process is complex, and there are certain requirements for the technical ability of operators.

▼ Hardware installation process (sliding support installation):：

On the market, there is a system product that can complete the installation of the whole window hardware only by hand and simple tools, which saves time, improves the installation accuracy, does not destroy the cavity of the profile, and reduces the waste of resources in the installation process. This mode of operation is not yet popular. However, each system increases the connection strength through various forms. For example, in the left figure, the sliding support is installed by strengthening the cushion block and special screws to enhance the connection strength. It is not accurate to damage the profile cavity, which is convenient for hardware replacement.

▼ Adhesive tape corner bonding:

The adhesive tape plays a great role in the sealing of the whole window. At present, the special adhesive angle and integrated adhesive tape are mostly used in the system doors and windows to avoid the unstable bonding of 45° cut angle or the incorrect cutting size of the adhesive tape. Compared with the traditional adhesive tape, the cross section of the system door and window adhesive tape is more compatible with the material and profile cross section. In order to ensure the sealing of the whole window, some brands use EPDM and PVC co-extruded adhesive tape, some use PPVC thermoplastic elastic adhesive tape and some use foam core adhesive tape. The assembly should be configured according to the requirements.

▼ Application of special insulation materials:

When the heat transfer coefficient is required to be high, the doors and windows of the system shall be provided with foam insulation materials (as shown in the red circle in the figure above) in the insulation strip cavity and at the position of the glass cushion block to avoid convection, reduce the heat transfer coefficient and improve the performance of the whole window.

At present, domestic system doors and windows are synonymous with high-quality doors and windows, as well as high prices. Domestic and foreign system brands contend, but there are great differences in product quality, technical ability and service awareness. When making system selection, real estate developers should comprehensively examine the various capabilities of the brand and the quality of the products, and select products that meet the requirements.
